Meaningful and Strategic Conversations with Donors: Engaging donors in the Life of your organization

When we seek annual gifts to help us fulfill our mission, we are inviting the donor to be part of the organization’s journey. But as donors become more engaged in our vision we have to be invited to be part of their journey. Are you confident that your donors have extended the invitation to you? This full day session hosted by KCI presents a practical approach to developing philanthropic relationships while developing a deeper understanding of the art and science of fundraising, and the professional and personal skills required to be a successful development professional.

The session covers:

  • Understanding your role and responsibilities and that of other team members with regard to identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
  • Managing your prospect list more effectively to increase overall activity
  • Training, motivating and working with volunteers
  • Building a donor centered culture
  • Getting meetings and having meaningful yet strategic conversations with donors by asking the right questions and responding to questions donors ask us
  • Sharpening your skills at listening, reading body language, working a room and sizing up people so you can communicate more effectively
  • Telling your organization's urgent and compelling story
  • Asking for a gift

The fee to attend sessions is $500 + GST per person or $450 + GST for two or more people attending from an organization.
